We are pleased to announce that the KR18 Standing Seam Roof Sheet Roll Forming Machine has been successfully shipped to our client in Costa Rica. Packed into a 40GP container, this shipment includes the complete set of machines required for their roofing projects. The KR18 machine exemplifies our commitment to providing innovative, versatile, and user-friendly solutions for the roofing industry.
The KR18 is a hydraulically powered roll forming machine specifically designed to produce standing seam roof sheets with precision and efficiency. Recognizing that many construction sites face challenges with electricity supply, we installed a Honda gasoline engine as the power source for this machine. This design ensures the machine can start instantly at any location without dependency on external electricity. With just gasoline added, the machine operates smoothly, allowing contractors to focus on their work without interruptions. This is a particularly important feature for regions where electricity is unstable or unavailable.
Incorporating a Siemens PLC and touchscreen system, the KR18 offers automated and accurate roof sheet cutting. Traditional hydraulic lever systems often require manual measurement and adjustment, which can lead to inconsistencies and errors. By automating this process, the KR18 guarantees precision cutting while significantly reducing manual labor. The client can produce uniform sheets efficiently, saving both time and resources, and ensuring higher quality in the final installation.
Another key feature of the KR18 machine is its mobility. The machine was supplied with a specially designed trailer, allowing it to be transported directly to the work site. The main unit is securely bolted to the trailer but can be detached when needed. This enables the machine to operate either on the ground or on elevated surfaces, such as rooftops. Such flexibility makes the KR18 ideal for projects requiring both mobility and adaptability, enabling contractors to work efficiently in different environments.
For proper installation of standing seam roof sheets, metal clips are required. While we generally recommend the automated Clip Roll Forming Machine to produce clips, we also provide alternative solutions for clients with limited budgets. The Clip Roll Forming Machine is fully automated, reduces labor requirements, and operates at high efficiency, even allowing for surplus production to be sold. However, manual solutions remain a practical option for smaller projects or budget-conscious clients.
The Costa Rican client chose the manual solution. To facilitate this, we supplied a 3-meter manual bending machine and a 110V single-phase hydraulic cutting machine. The manual bending machine allows clips to be hand-formed, while the hydraulic cutter can trim them into precise smaller pieces. Though this approach is less automated and requires more labor than the full automatic solution, it is cost-effective and suitable for the client’s project needs and financial plan.
By providing both high-end automated and budget-friendly manual options, we ensure that the KR18 machine is accessible to a wide range of clients while maintaining quality and functionality. The combination of hydraulic power, automated control, and trailer mobility makes the KR18 a comprehensive solution for modern roofing projects.
This shipment to Costa Rica reflects our dedication to supporting clients with versatile, efficient, and practical machinery solutions. Whether operating on-site without electricity, cutting roof sheets with high precision, or adapting to unique project requirements, the KR18 delivers reliability and convenience.
Our team remains committed to helping clients maximize productivity while minimizing costs. The KR18 Standing Seam Roof Sheet Roll Forming Machine continues to stand out as a flexible, efficient, and innovative solution in the roofing industry, empowering contractors to complete their projects faster, more accurately, and with greater ease.
